The Haven Conference was this weekend, and it was so much fun. It was really fun for the Silhouette Challenge group because we got to catch up with each other and meet! It was also an awesome conference because several HGTV stars were there, including one of my all time favorites, Mike Holmes! Our theme this month for the Silhouette Challenge was Our Favorite Things, and I thought that onesies and home improvements stars were two of my favorite things. When I went to Haven, I wanted to make sure that I had something special for Mike Holmes to sign, so I created a onesie for My Little Monkey with Mike Holmes’ logo, “Make It Right!”
It was such an easy design to make. I used black flocked HTV and a red “Rabbit Skin” onesie that I bought at Amazon. I ended up finding a hammer image online, and used that image along with Mike Holmes’ Trademark “Make It Right!” (By the way, if you ever go meet a celebrity with their trademarked phrase on an item you created, be sure to tell them that you aren’t selling them and didn’t pay for the shirt!) During his session and Q&A at Haven, I had Mike Holmes sign the onesie.
Now my little builder Monkey has a one of a kind Mike Holmes Onesie to wear! I’m not sure he’s going to be that impress, but I am!
